Lesson 9 (SB) P: 12 (Round up)

1. (and) وتعني (و) وتستخدم لربط جملتين أو فكرتين متشابهتين، أي إذا كانت الجملة الأولى مثبتة فتكون الجملة الثانية مثبتة وإذا كانت الأولى منفية تكون الثانية أيضاً منفية:

Ex: Ali is clever. Ahmad is clever. (and / but / or) استخدم إحدى أدوات الربط
- Ali is clever and Ahmad is clever.

2. (but) وتعني (لكن) وتستخدم لربط جملتين أو فكرتين مختلفتين، أي إذا كانت الجملة الأولى مثبتة تكون الجملة الثانية منفية وإذا كانت الأولى منفية تكون الثانية مثبتة:

Ex: Ali is clever. Ahmed is lazy. (and / but / or)
- Ali is clever, but Ahmed is lazy.

3. (or) وتعني (أو) وتستخدم للتخيير بين شيئين:

Ex: Do you like fish? Do you like meat? (and / but / or)
- Do you like fish or meat?
