(مجلة المدرسة) ص4. كتاب الطالب.

1. نستخدم (s) التملك عند التعبير عن ملكية شيء معين لشخص معين.

2. إذا كانت الفارزة قبل (s) التملك فهذا يدل على أن المالك مفرد.

Ex: Go and get the boy’s ____. (bag – bags)
- Go and get the boy’s bag.
Ex: The girl’s car _____ new. (is – are)
- The girl’s car is new.

3. إذا كانت الفارزة بعد (s) التملك فهذا يدل على أن المالك جمع.

Ex: Go and get the boys’ ____. (bag – bags)
- Go and get the boys’ bags.
Ex: The girls’ cars _____ new. (is – are)
- The girls’ cars are new.

4. هنالك أسماء تجمع بدون (s) وهي الأسماء الشاذة وهنا الفارزة تكون دائماً قبل (s) التملك سواء كان الاسم مفرد أو جمع.

Ex: The man’s ____ is new. (car – cars)
- The man’s car is new.
Ex: The men’s ____ are new. (car – cars)
- The men’s cars are new.
