"Asking for directions"

للسؤال عن الاتجاهات نستخدم العبارات الآتية:

• Can you tell me how to get to…? .... هل تستطيع ان تخبرني كيف أصل الى?
• How far is it? كم تبعد أو كم المسافة
• How long will it take? كم وقتاً تأخذ

"Giving directions"

لإعطاء الاتجاهات نستخدم العبارات الآتية:

• Go to the traffic lights. اذهب إلى إشارات المرور
• Turn left\right at the lights. انعطف يساراً \يميناً عند الضوء
• Take the first turning on the right or left. خذ الاستدارة الأولى على جهة اليمين أو اليسار
• Go along + اسم +Road / Street. اذهب على طول (اسم)+ طريق / شارع
• Go past the اذهب من امام اسم مكان. اسم مكان
• Go straight on. اذهب إلى الأمام
• The bookshop is on the right / left. المكتبة على اليمين أو اليسار
• My house is next to / near the بيتي مجاور / قريب اسم مكان .اسم المكان

B. Write directions for a visitor to:

1. the school: go straight on until you reach the traffic lights. Turn left and the school is on the left.
2. the hotel: go straight on until you reach the traffic lights. Turn right and the hotel is on the right.
3. the bookshop: go straight on and cross the junction and go straight on. The bookshop is on the right beside the café.
4. the park: go straight on and cross the junction and go straight. Take the first right and the park is on the left beside Ridha's house.
