(تغييرات) ص38. كتاب الطالب.

1. نستخدم (used to) للتعبير عن شيء تم الاعتياد عليه في الماضي لكن الآن تم التوقف عن فعله في الزمن الحاضر.

2. قاعدة ال (used to) في حالة الإثبات هي:

Ex: She live in Iraq. now in England. (used to)
-She used to live in Iraq, but now she lives in England.

3. قاعدة ال (used to) في حالة النفي هي:

Ex: Salim used to eat a lot of desserts when he was a child. (negative) حول الى نفي
- Salim didn't use to eat a lot of desserts when he was a child.

تمرين (A) ص41. أكتب أجوبة قصيرة لهذه الأسئلة:

A. Write short answers to these questions.

1. For how long has Samir done Judo? For two years.
2. How do you know that used to be unhealthy? He said he is often ill.
3. How often does he train? Every day.
4. Do you think that his life has improved? Why? Why not? Yes, his life has improved because now he is healthy and has lots of friends.
5. Which country would he like to do Judo for? Iraq.

B. Write sentences about changes in Huda's life with used to.

تمرين (B) ص41. أكتب جمل عن التغييرات في حياة هدى باستخدام (used to):

Past: Live in Maysan / Now: in Baghdad

Huda used to live in Maysan, but now she lives in Baghdad.

Past: shy / Now: confident

She used to be shy, but now she is confident.

Past: lots of ice-cream / Now: fruit

She used to eat lots of ice-cream, but now she eats fruit.

Past: watch TV a lot / Now: sport

She used to watch TV a lot, but now she plays sport.
